Sendra Sports Center is a dream came true with the hard work of several dedicated people. Erupted as a solution to a problem arose in a open air badminton court, construction started after a detail study of the sport, business and the requirements of the area. After a year and a half of lengthy construction work, Sendra was declared open on 22 March 2010 by the Hon. President of Sri Lanka Badminton Prof. Ranjith Fernando. The membership arose quickly to 250 in several months proving that Kadawatha Badminton fans were in real need of a proper place.
